Abbey is a Nashville native, where she currently resides with her hubby, two kids and their many pets. Abbey says she feels most alive when she’s outside breathing the open air. When not practicing yoga, Abbey makes and sells pottery. She also enjoys painting and writing. She loves to explore any form of creative expression. Abbey thrives on connecting with people and is honored to share the practice of yoga with her community.
Abbey has been practicing yoga for 8 years. She originally came to yoga simply to stretch. She was already running, biking, taking kickboxing and boot camp classes. She was not really looking to add much more to her routine. However, she was blown away by her first yoga class. She received so much more than a stretch. On her yoga mat, Abbey found space, clarity and freedom. She was amazed to discover that the physical practice of yoga translated to all aspects of her life. Through yoga, she found power, balance and ease. Abbey is confident that her transition and growth only continue as she shares her knowledge with others. She is so excited to share this journey with you!

Words to live by: “Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it” Roald Dahl
Favorite Vacay Spot: New Orleans!! My favorite city on Earth. Would love to live there one day.
Guilty Pleasure: Instagram! Well and peanut butter by the spoonful. Actually Insta + PB = guilty pleasures paradise.
Career outside of Freebird: Pot Dealer. Ceramic pots that is.
Family: husband/ soulmate of 20yrs, Robbie Voss, first born son, Sebastian “Bass Fish” Voss, 13yr and my little sunshine, Annabelle Voss, 11yr.
City/State where you’re from: Nashville! Born at St Thomas Hospital, a rare Nashville native.
Favorite type of workout: probably yoga, but I also really, really love a down ‘n dirty hip hop dance class.
What did you want to be when you grew up: I wanted to be a cat until kindergarten (which now that I think about, is alarmingly old to believe I could change species) But actually, there are a few yoga poses that make me feel very cat-like.
Secret talent: Animals love my insanely high voice. Especially wild animals like geese and squirrels.
Favorite music artist that pushes you hard during a workout. Oh man, depends on the day and the mood, but I really can’t resist A Tribe Called Quest and Wu-Tang Clan.
Favorite Healthy Snack: I’m a fruit bat. Any fruit, all the fruit…maybe dipped in peanut butter.
