Meghan fell in love with yoga in 2015 when she walked in to her first class at FreeBird. Yoga was something she had always had interest in, but never explored. After her first experience on the mat, she discovered yoga was more than just a physical practice. Yoga began affecting her daily life: making her more patient and increasing her mindfulness regarding perceptions of herself and others. This change Meghan saw in herself led to encouraging others to begin practicing yoga. This culminated in completing her RYT 200-hr training through emPower School of Yoga in March 2018. Meghan is so excited to be back at FreeBird; the place where her yoga journey began.

Career outside FreeBird – Her full time career is teaching high school English in MNPS. She loves introducing students to the many benefits yoga offers teenagers who deal with so much in their daily lives.

Favorite workout? Yoga obviously, but I also enjoy hiking and swimming
What did you want to be when you grew up? All I know is that I did not want to become a teacher because everyone else in my family was a teacher. But you can’t fight fate.
Secret Talent? I am really good at loading the dishwasher and getting all the dishes in and all of them come out clean.
